That's why everyone in our team is somehow subtly similar: in their approach to work, interests, and ambitions, although everyone's character is undoubtedly different. Moreover, it's important to understand that not everyone can work remotely; some people can only work in the office. In the current reality, this is easily solved through informal online meetings where we can talk not only about work but also discuss things outside of it.
During the COVID period, I gained immense experience in building such a team. We met regularly online, had formal and informal conversations, and tried to make up for the lack of face-to-face interaction. I won’t go into details, but the result was that everyone met their KPIs, and we avoided a drop in performance. We still use the same approach today. We all remember that informal conversations often generate ideas that are useful for work, just like the old office "smoke breaks.
